Onion (second in line) is trying to become friends with Georgia Peach (third in line).

In A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare, Helena's dream is to marry Demetrius, but he does not love her back and even goes as far as to insult her looks. Towards the end of the book, Demetrius is put under a spell and marries Helena. This event is also presented in the play Meat Gone Bad written by Ken Buswell. Onion is new to the produce section and wants to make friends. He likes Georgia Peach, but she cannot stand his presence and constantly talks down to him. Onion's only wish is to make a new friend much like it is Helena's dream to marry Demetrius. In the end of the play, Georgia Peach agrees to put their differences aside and, and they become friends. Onion's relationship with Georgia Peach is a smaller version of Helena's relationship with Demetrius.

The relationship between Demetrius and Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare is a lot like that of Scout and Dill in To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. In A Midsummer Night's Dream, Helena wants to marry Demetrius, but he does not want anything to do with her. Towards the end of the novel, Demetrius is put under a spell and agrees to marry her but he only agrees because of the spell's effect. This "marriage" is not really a marriage at all! In To Kill A Mockingbird, Dill really likes Scout to the point that he says he wants to marry her, but Scout does not even truly realize what marriage is yet. At the end of the novel, she has become okay with their "marriage", and at one point in the book, they even discuss having children. Dill and Scout's "marriage" is much like Demetrius and Helena's "marriage".

In today's culture, marriage is not as serious an occasion as it was years back. People used to get to know one another before getting married, but now, people meet and in a week they are married. A lot of times, they marry someone because he or she has a lot of money or have good looks. These traits act as a spell on many people today, and once the spell is used, all they can think about is his or her wedding day. In A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare, Demetrius does not want to marry Helena, but Puck the fairy applies a liquid spell to Demetrius and he suddenly is madly in love with her. I believe this is a symbol of today's society where people get married very quickly and rashly, and most times the marriage does not work out because it was not meant to be.

Why are they look so scared?
Why are they look so scared?

In the beginning of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo wants to marry Rosaline, but she does not feel the same way. In A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare, Helena wants to marry Demetrius, but he cannot stand the thought of her. Romeo's sorrow and anguish in the beginning of the story helped me to understand the sadness that coursed through Helena.

Egeus is a lot like my dad. He had a certain type of man dreamed up for my older sister, but she wanted a different person. One night she brought home a guy that my dad did not approve of. He really wanted her to break up with her, but she really liked him. Over time, my dad got accustomed to him, and two years later, they got married. This is much like how Egeus acted towards Hermia and Lysander.
